Robert Causey, Committee Chairperson called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M.

Motion by Cibilich, second by Kight and carried 5-0-2 to adopt the agenda.

Motion by Kawamoto, second by Cibilich and carried 5-0-2 to approve the minutes of the May 16, 2007 meeting.

ITEM 4.1 –

WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS

 

 

 

Member Pyle joined the meeting at 9:05 A.M.

ARRIVAL OF COMMITTEE MEMBER

 

 

 

Deputy Superintendent Thurston provided information concerning the Monroe Middle School parking lot construction.  The neighbors, whose homes are adjacent to the parking lot area, have experienced noise and ground vibrations due to the soil compaction part of this project.  Mr. Thurston noted that he had spoken with the residents and informed them that if their property sustained any damage due to the ground vibrations, they should submit a claim to the District.

 

Bette Joe, Measure H Project Supervisor announced that she will be retiring from the District on November 1st.  Committee members thanked Mrs. Joe for the major role she played in developing and maintaining a system by which all Measure H expenditures are accounted for and wished her well on her upcoming retirement.

Member Kawamoto reported that he met with Deputy Superintendent Thurston and Measure H Project Supervisor Bette Joe immediately prior to the regular Committee Meeting to review Expenditure Reports X, Y, and Z.  No outstanding questions were noted and all inquiries were adequately addressed.

 

ITEM 5.1.1 –

SUBCOMMITTEE REPORT

 

 

 

Expenditure Report X covering expenses from November 2006 through January 2007 was presented for a second review.  By consensus, the Committee accepted Expenditure Report X as presented.

ITEM 5.1.2 -

EXPENDITURE REPORT X: NOVEMBER 2006 – JANUARY 2007

SECOND REVIEW

 

 

 

Bette Joe, Measure H Project Manager presented a revised Report Y that corrected a numbering error.   She noted that no other changes had been made to the report.  By consensus, the Committee accepted Expenditure Report Y as presented.

ITEM 5.1.3 – EXPENDITURE REPORT Y: FEBRUARY – APRIL 2007

 

 

 

Expenditure Report Z, covering expenses from May through June 2007 was presented for a first review.  By consensus, the Committee accepted Expenditure Report Z as presented.

ITEM 5.1.4 – EXPENDITURE REPORT Z:

MAY – JUNE 2007

 

 

 

Deputy Superintendent Thurston presented the Financial Summary Report for Committee review and discussion.  The Committee accepted the Measure H Bond Fund Financial Summary Report as submitted.

ITEM 5.2 – MEASURE H BOND FUND FINANCIAL SUMMARY REPORT

 

 

 

Deputy Superintendent Thurston provided a status report on Measure H construction projects and responded to Committee inquiries related to the projects.

ITEM 5.3 –

MEASURE H PROJECT UPDATE

 

 

 

Member Kawamoto reported that he will make updates to the draft report and send the proposed report to the Committee for input.

ITEM 5.4 –

ANNUAL

MEASURE H OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE REPORT

 

 

 

Deputy Superintendent Thurston asked if Committee Members had received or heard of any concerns from the community related to Measure H Construction. We wish to remain proactive in addressing any issues and would appreciate the input of the Committee. 

 

Member Pyle noted that she had heard of some concerns from Forest Hill parents related to the restrooms and fencing at Forest Hill School.

 

ITEM 5.5 – COMMITTEE INQUIRIES
