KEY STRATEGIES
In January 2007, the Campbell Union School District Governing Board updated the district’s 10-year-old mission, vision and beliefs. In February, the Board brought those updates to the Strategic Planning Team—a group of people representing community leaders, parents, teachers, classified staff, and managers—who collaboratively established key strategies that will help us reach our goal. Those strategies are:Students Engaged Beyond the Standards
We will engage our students beyond the standards and create critical thinkers and life-long learners by offering a variety of educational settings and programs.Rigorous and Comprehensive Instruction
We will provide a rigorous, comprehensive instructional program that produces consistent school outcomes through a systematic intervention plan for all students.Research-based Professional Development
We will provide professional development characterized by collaboration and based on proven methods and brain-based research.Creative Learning Community
We will promote and sustain a creative learning community that is free of excuses and restrictive labels, prejudices, and assumptions about abilities or outcomes.Families Enhancing Education
We will provide a variety of avenues for our families to be involved in and to enhance their children’s education.
ACTION PLANNING TEAMS
The next step is to implement the vision. Action Planning Teams are being formed around each of the four strategies.
