Superintendent Eric Andrew, Ed.D.


Dr. Eric D. Andrew became Superintendent of Campbell Union School District in February 2010.

Prior to becoming the chief executive of the preschool-through-eighth-grade district, he was Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services in Glendora Unified School District, in southern California.

Dr. Andrew began his education career in 1979 as a teacher in Claremont Unified School District, where he taught students in kindergarten through sixth grade. He has been a school principal for elementary, middle and high schools, and Director of Student Services in Redlands Unified School District.

He is a member of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), Santa Clara County School Superintendent’s Association, and serves on the board of the California Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (CASCD). As an administrator and instructional leader, Dr. Andrew has earned several distinctions, including both the State and the Region 15 awards for 2009 Central Office Administrator of the Year from the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), the ACSA Region 12 Pupil Services Administrator of the Year award, and was named a Graduate Fellow by the Institute for Educational Leadership. He holds a master’s in education from Cal-Poly, Pomona, an administrative credential from Cal State San Bernardino and a doctorate in education from the University of LaVerne.

He and his wife live in Campbell, Calif.

Campbell Union School District operates 12 schools serving 7,500 students in Campbell, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Saratoga.
