Governing Board President Michael Snyder called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m.
2. CLOSED SESSION

Rationale:
The Governing Board will review matters pertaining to the following topics as necessary:

The Governing Board convened to Closed Session at 5:03 p.m.
2.1. Liability Claims (Gov. Code §54956.95) Claimant: CSEA on behalf of Zaithed Arias Agency Claimed Against: Campbell Union Elementary School District

2.2. Conference with Legal Counsel - Anticipated Litigation (Govt. Code §54956.9(b)) – Significant exposure to litigation pursuant to paragraph (2) or (3) of subdivision (d) of Section 54959.9 - one case

The Governing Board reconvened to Special Session at 6:00 p.m.
4. ADOPT AGENDA

Rationale:
Additions to the agenda:  Items may be added to the agenda in the event an emergency exists (majority vote), or the need to take action arises after posting of the agenda (two-thirds vote of the Board), or by unanimous vote of those present if less than full Board.

5. REPORT OF ACTION TAKEN IN CLOSED SESSION

Minutes:
Action was taken on Item 2.1. Board Member Pablo Beltran moved to reject the claim filed by CSEA on behalf of Zaithed Arias. The motion was seconded by Board Member Chris Miller. The vote was Yes - Beltran, Cohen, Miller, Nguyen, Snyder. 0 Noes, 0 Abstain.
6. COMMUNICATIONS

Rationale:
(Pursuant to Govt. Code 54954.3(a), members of the public will be afforded an opportunity to directly address the Board on any item noticed on this Special Meeting Agenda before or during the Board's consideration of that item.  The law does not permit board action on any item not on the agenda, and restricts public comment at Special Meetings to items noticed on the Meeting's agenda.  members of the Public wishing to address the Board are requested to submit a form provided for that purpose in the lobby prior to addressing the Board.  In order to complete the business of the meeting in a timely manner, the normal time allotted is 3 minutes per speaker.  The board may use its discretion in differentiating from this time limit.)

7. Student Achievement Information

Rationale:
Superintendent Shelly Viramontez, Assistant Superintendent Instructional Services, Whitney Holton, and the District Leadership Team will present the Student Achievement Information for 2018-2019 for discussion and review.

Assistant Superintendent Instructional Services, Whitney Holton; Coordinator English Language Development Programs, Denise Kilpatrick; Director Equity, Assessment & Accountability, Ruth Stephens Radle; Director Special Education, Chiara Perry presented the 2018-2019 Student Achievement Data to the Governing Board.
