My role at Monroe as Equity Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) is to work with and support teachers to ensure that every child receives an equitable education in student-centered learning environments.
I have been a teacher for over 10 years. I became an educator because I believe these words from Rita Pierson: "Every child deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be." I am also deeply passionate about teacher support, growth, and innovation.
Outside of school I love spending time with my husband and our two sons, going dispersed/primitive camping, and reading really great books.
