Bachelor of Science in Natural Science, Minor in Math, San Jose State University
I teach 7th grade science. I love to teach students to learn how to learn, and make new discoveries as they study the world around them. Students will be using STEMscopes online curriculum and various resources. I love the natural world and enjoy creating opportunities for students to explore and wonder. When I am not teaching, I enjoy getting out in nature with my husband and camp, hike, kayak, and travel to natural wonders.
To help students and parents keep track of what we are doing in 7th grade science, I post each day's assignments, up-coming projects, and tests on Google Classroom and PowerSchool. We will also use Seesaw with various assignments. I invite parents by email to join Google Classroom, and Seesaw. When you accept the email invitation, you will get summaries of assignments posted on Google Classroom and updates about Seesaw. Students and parents each have access codes for PowerSchool. When you log in, you can click on the science grade to access the assignments, view details, due dates, comments and scores. You can set up PowerSchool to send you up to seven reports a day (six subjects, and attendance).
The best way to contact me is through my e-mail at sdavis [at] campbellusd.org or my class phone (408) 341?7000 ext. 5124. When you leave a message, I get an email recording. Please reach out to me and let me know how I may help you, or if you have any concerns, or just to say hello. I look forward to working with you this year.
