Wellbeing is Wealth. Maintaining an optimal level of wellness will bring you a richer, more full-filling life and is crucial to subdue stress, reduce the risk of illness and ensure positive interactions.

We would also like to support teachers with developing a personalized self-care plan to encourage their practice after the workshop.

Practicing yoga makes us feel better inside and out and often leaves us with a relaxed mind. This class is a vinyasa flow yoga for all levels and abilities. It is helpful to have a mat and wear stretchy clothing.

The past year has been one of uncertainty and many changes, leaving us feeling a bit stressed out. In this session, we'll discuss what's happening in our brain & body when it comes to stress and we will explore some helpful practices to ease that stress. Students will leave the session with actionable steps they can take to understand their emotional state, handle stress and manage change. This session will be fun and interactive!

Then you've experienced sound healing...the ways music, sound and vibration can shift our mood and ease our stress levels. As educators, we have been holding a lot for our schools, our students, and ourselves over this past year, so in this session we will explore the ways sound and vibration can create structured support for our wellbeing. We will discuss ways to bring more "good vibes" to your daily routines and close with a crystal bowl sound healing session as a guided opportunity for deep rest.

Participants will learn the importance of Parent Self-Care and its value in creating a safe and nurturing environment at home. This workshop will include an experiential process of self-reflection, and participants will engage in developing an individual self-care plan. The workshop will also include a mindfulness practice to support healing and relaxation.

Participants will explore how working with youth who have experienced trauma can impact their own well-being. They will reflect on the way in which their personal histories intersect with the impact of working within the school system. Participants will learn strategies to enhance their practice of self-care to heal and maintain sustained engagement in this challenging and important work.

Welcome back Campbell Union students! If you are in grades 3-5, come join CUSD School Counselors Yessenia Marquez and Shaun Shandonay for the Wellness Week Virtual Buddy Bench. It is here that you will be able to interact with fellow CUSD students from your school and the other CUSD elementary schools while learning some helpful information regarding how to manage stress and worry, identify feelings and emotions, and adjust to life back on campus. This half hour virtual session will include videos, small group discussions and a whole lot of fun things to talk about as well. We hope to see every “buddy” there!

(English with Spanish Translation) We invite you to join us with practicing emotional regulation strategies for parents and their children in real time. Emotions are healthy, but sometimes powerful emotions are expressed as big behaviors. Regular practice of emotional management skills as a family will increase the likelihood that your child will use them when overwhelmed by emotions. Regular practice will also increase positive communication in the home and lower the overall stress levels of the entire family.
