Congratulations to Rolling Hills student Sonali Ranaweera.  She and her older brother, Mano, were among the first to receive a brand new, national award: the Charlotte Bacon Act of Kindness Award.

In February 2013, the newly formed Newtown Kindness organization announced the new award, which is named after a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.  It was established to foster a kindness mindset in children and recognize special kids who complete exemplary acts of kindness.
