District Volunteer of the Year announced

From among the school-level nominees, the district selects one to represent Campbell Union School District as a whole. The 2011 District Volunteer of the Year is Angie Warren.

ÒWhatÕs special about Angie is the style she shows while doing all of this work,Ó said David Wilce, principal of Capri Elementary School. ÒIn every endeavor, Angie models cooperative problem solving, civility and professionalism.Ó

Warren, a Campbell resident who also works outside the home, is actively involved with her own three childrenÕs education and is an enthusiastic advocate for all children in the district, said Wilce.

At the District level, Warren was an officer on the Yes on Measure G bond campaign committee, which is now helping to fund much-needed classroom and building improvements. She also represents Capri and Campbell Middle Schools on the SuperintendentÕs Parent Advisory Committee. At the school level, she is active in the Capri School Site Council and is the current PTA president at Campbell Middle School.

ÒAngie represents the best qualities of so many of our incredible volunteers,Ó said district Superintendent Eric Andrew. ÒIÕm sure she hates all of this attention, but she deserves it very much.Ó
