About Me:

As an Equity Coach, I provide support in all content areas from Kindergarten to 5th grade.

I love working with students because I love seeing the "Ah-ha" moments that are accompanied with a smile and confidence. In addition, I like to empower students and push students to try new things and think from multiple perspectives. My hope is to teach your child strategies to problem solve and collaborate, and provide opportunities for your child to be creative. My job is to help facilitate the implementation of Common Core and the 4 C's (communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking) to increase student achievement by looking at students' strengths and challenges to steer instruction using the PLC model, and ensure all students are receiving equitable instruction and opportunities.

My favorite hobbies and interests are playing/coaching sports, reading, traveling, hiking, and hanging out with friends. I have played volleyball, basketball, baseball, and softball competitively. I played on the varsity team at Archbishop Mitty High School, as well as Santa Clara University D1 team and club team. I have coached the San Jose State Women's Club Volleyball team as well. My favorite books to read vary, but I am currently into action-packed books. My favorite places to travel are Europe, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe. My favorite vacation, I spent 5 weeks in Europe and visited many countries (Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy)! Lastly, when I hang out with friends, we enjoy watching movies and playing board games.
