About Me: I began teaching in Campbell Union School District in 1996, teaching 2nd grade at Capri Elementary. I first joined the staff at Village as the 4/5 grade teacher many years ago and since that time have taught all grade levels except for Kindergarten and 1st grade. I spent many years teaching mostly third grade before taking my current position as a Transitional Kindergarten teacher. I have always been an advocate for hands on learning that is developmentally appropriate. I find Village School to be a nice balance of these approaches with enriched academic learning experiences. I strive to make my classroom an inclusive and safe place where students can grow and where parents can work in partnership for their child's success. I am grateful that my sons had the experience of learning at both Capri and Village Schools. I am especially appreciative and grateful for the parents at Village School who dedicate themselves to helping all children reach their full potential.
I am a product of Campbell Union School District myself and proud to be educating children in the community that educated me. I am also on the Campbell Elementary Teachers' Association executive board and find the work of advocating for the needs of both families, students, and teachers very rewarding. I live with my husband, Jerry, and am thrilled when my adult sons come home to visit. In my free time I like to read, walk, garden, travel, and spend time with family and friends.
