After months of contemplation and deliberation with family and close friends, I have decided to retire, effective June 30, 2017,” said Campbell Union School District Superintendent Eric Andrew during last night’s Governing Board meeting. “My seven-and-a-half years here have been extremely rewarding. I will always look back on these years with appreciation and pride.”

As Chief Executive of the preschool-through-eighth-grade public school district, Dr. Andrew has led all aspects of the district’s instructional and operational programs. Since coming to the district in February 2010, the district has earned several local and regional awards for its programs fostering educational equity, English Language Development, parent education, and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS).

“Eric has an unwavering commitment to preparing students for success in school and in life,” said Board President Tom Gemetti. “He has built extensive community and business partnerships to support quality student education and has been an influential advocate for students and families locally and regionally.”

Gemetti said the Board is determining next steps for filling the vacancy created by Andrew’s retirement at a special meeting on May 15th.
