Greetings Capri Cougars! I am excited for my second year at Capri, and I look forward to serving as principal for the amazing teachers, staff, families, students, and community of Capri Elementary.
I have been in education since 2008, after joining Teach for America. I have had the privilege to work as a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and a middle school administrator. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from Brigham Young University and my Master of Science in Applied School Leadership from National University.
As a lifelong educator dedicated to the success of all learners, I believe it takes parents, teachers, staff and the community working together to meet the individual learning needs of all students, both academic and social. My goal is to ensure every child receives an equitable education that empowers him or her to be happy, healthy, and prepared for the future he or she chooses.
I currently live in San Jose with my husband, who is working on a Master of Arts degree in Applied Anthropology at San Jose State University.
