Aline Cardia

Degrees/Certifications:

Bachelor of Liberal Arts, San Jose State University

California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, San Jose State University

My name is Aline (pronounced Ah-lee-nee), and I have been a teacher at Village School since 2014. My goal as an educator, in partnership with parents and the larger school community, is to build a trusting classroom environment where children feel safe to make mistakes, express their ideas, and—most importantly—learn.

I embrace the parent-participation model and value the culture and the strong sense of community at Village School, and I feel privileged to continue serving this distinguished school.

I live in San Jose with my family and our goofy golden retriever. Originally from Brazil, I am fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, in addition to English. Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, surfing, camping, and playing sports. I am an avid reader and am deeply passionate about education, neuroscience, and nutrition.
