Kathryn Merek-Akiba

6th Grade Math, Science, and P.E.

Born in Santa Cruz and raised in Sunnyvale, I am proud to be a local and enjoy all we have here.  I was a candy striper at El Camino hospital as a teenager.  I attended Fremont High and enjoyed playing in all the bands, especially the marching band!  My favorite teacher was my literature teacher, Mrs. Farelly. I worked at Winchell's Donuts and Coco's. (Does anyone remember those?) I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and have a degree in Agribultural Business. After living and working abroad, I settled into a teaching career.  This is my 26th year here in Campbell Union School District!
